Artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, computational science, human-computer interaction, and programming languages are just some of the research interests of University of Oregon faculty and students in Deschutes Hall, home of the computer and information science departments. Built in 1989 and named for a central Oregon river, Deschutes is part of the university's science complex.
