Built in 1949 and called the University Theatre until its 1975 renovation, the Robinson Theatre celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in December 1999. It is named in honor of Professor Emeritus Horace Robinson, who taught and directed plays at the University of Oregon from 1932 to 1975. It is connected to Villard Hall.
